I recently heard about a policeman who was pursuing a man in a stolen car. The suspect driving the stolen car pulled onto a side street and jumped out of the stolen car and began running. The policeman, instead of getting out of his police car and pursuing him on foot, stayed behind the wheel and pursued the suspect with his patrol car. Finally, at a speed of about 10mph, the policeman intentionally hit the suspect with his patrol car, knocking him to the ground.
The policeman was able to arrest the suspect. Amazingly, the suspect was unhurt.
What is your opinion about the tactic the policeman used? I've heard various thoughts about it and just wondered what most people thought.
