rolls royce silver shadow with ford crate engine

Seeing how a MB can be converted to accept a Ford crate motor, does anyone know if this same thing is possible to do with a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, 70's model, and are there any differences in doing the conversion to the Rolls as there would be if you did it to the MB? just curious. thanks

I believe most do a chevy conversion.

You can try contacting Scott motors in West Los Angeles, CA.

Talk to Gary or Darrin, Tell them Alon Asherson told you to call about what kind of American V8 Conversions can be done.

They specialize in Rolls and Bentley, and know the cars in and out.

I'm sure the Roller would accept the Yank engine but you need to be weary of the other expensive bits that RRs are infamous for such as the braking system.

Rolls used GM 400 transmissions for a number of years makeing conversion much easier, every now and then you will see a Rolls Chev. on Ebay.I would use a chevy big block as Rolls is very heavy........
