Very Pissed!!!

MAN O MAN woman cant drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom took my car and damaged on of my newly refinshed 15hole rims. There is now a chunk of finish gone from the wheel as something slashed it when she went over it. I think it was a metal stick or something like that and it scrapped the tire and then the rim.

rims

SO what is the question, they can be refinished again, I GUESS YOU COULD SUE YOUR MOTHER, OR ASK FOR THE MONEY. Is a car really worth it, there are bigger issues in life. Sorry for the preaching, they get dings and dents in the parking lots, and you would not know who did it!

Just remember your Mercedes is an inanimate machine:
it can be repaired or the rim/tire replaced.
You only have one mother though, go easy on her, I'm sure she feels bad enough about it. Be good to your mother.

Don't go too hard on her, she's your mother

My mum drive my car yesterday, I get in it today, turn the key, and here this awful crunching noise coming out of the transmission. Turns out that when my mother puts the car into park, she didn't lock the car into park, she merely puuhes the gear stick up. I explained to her never to do it again ad I hope she never does

Howdy BenzOnLine,
Oh well!¡ When I saw the title of the tread I thought maybe someone totaled your car.

Been there. Sucks. I'd let my mom total my car every friggin' day if I could have her back.

Well, what is done is done...how bad is the tire scratch? I assume it is across the sidewall...I guess, for the tire, see if you've got pro-rated road hazard warranty with 'em and get them replaced if possible...as for the wheels, I guess if you can't buff it out to make it look a little better, you could always get them RE-refinished...

Ya...mom sometimes does dumb stuff...and we get pissed off at them...which is normal in every household...just point it out to her and say, "hey mom...u did that! be more careful next time!" I mean, what can you really do? she's your mom!!! she probably put up with a lot of crap you did while you were a kid too!!!

i'm sure the Schumacher brothers won't feel that way about their mom ...

not preaching here, BenzOnline - I know how you feel.

but here's some food for thought for everyone:

if your mom damaged your car lightly in a fender-bender, it is very likely that you will be outraged.

but if your mom figured in a major accident and totalled your car, would you feel the same way? Especially if she was injured? Even if it was her fault?

Looking at things another way, isn't this the perfect excuse to buy new wheels? I recommend the 8-hole type.

I always wanted the 8hole wheels but can never find them. Does ebay have them? Where is a good place to look?

They are available at TireRack - the AT Italia Type 8. The 16" would look nice on your car, if you can justify the cost of the new tires you will have to install.

And since you are in Canada, you can use the old ones for winter.
