Pics

Nice pics - have a friend in SC who just got a 90 560 SEL (champane). Traded him a boat/trailer he bought 2 years ago for $2.5K. The car has 77K miles - He wanted an oil burner but could not pass up the deal.

Looks great! What did you use to take the pictures with? It has a different quality than the other pictures on your site.

Aaah...

...you spotted the difference.

Usual stuff is bottom-of-the-line digital.

These were on a Leica....so was this.

Luddites rule!

That's some nice portrait work, I feel a little like I'm snooping through someone's photo album :p I've never taken the time to explore that part of your site before. You have some really elegant photography in there, beautiful compositions and sensiblity. Do you do your own b&w processing?

We should do a travel-photo thread. I've been tempted to start one but I wasn't sure there was the interest.

Tim - You are welocme to look anywhere on my site

Some family stuff is password protected.

I do my own b&w film developing, but gave up on the darkroom and went with a film scanner and Epson printer years ago.

Try the Color and B&W sections - I have tons to add but my scanner is currently at the doctor's.

I'm off to Arizona and Utah this year in the 300SD and hope to post some pix. Last trip was on the BMW bike - see the Motorcycling section - High Sierras trip.

Thanks for your kind words.

W126

I did that on my 560SEL - nice change.

The thread is here.

I seem to have hit an authenticity thread on the 300SD - after a period of falling out with the Bundts I now like them again. Maybe because these look so good?

I love the look of the 8-holes as well but I really wanted 17" rims so I splurged on monoblocks. Sometime around the end of the summer I'm going to hunt for a set of cheap 15" for winter. It would be sacraligous to put the 17's through a CT winter.
