OK I don't know if this counts as photographic art. This is the clifton suspension bridge, Bristol, at night. It's a 1-2 minute walk from my house, you can't quite see the house in the pictures.

Real nice night shots.......
Can you give us some technical data? (film type, exposure...) Was it takin with a 35mm then croped? I'll be posting some of my color night shot soon, until then here is a B/W of Perce Quebec. |

There's no real manual mode. At night it tends to go to largest aperture (f/3.2) and max exposure (1s) and manage as well as it can.. I used panoramic mode to help match up the edges, but the software is very impressive at doing that itself if they're off. Increased the gamma and tweaked colour balance (I prefer paint shop pro) a little, but its pretty good as is. Here's a 1:1 unzoomed crop of part of the original. Compression was set to high :( After 6040 pics with it I'm ready for a new one, probably digital SLR. I did some few-minute exposure night shots with a Nikon F85 on 1600 film but its still in the camera (darn analogue!) so i haven't seen them. |
