One thing I haven't seen talked about here, radio control stuff. I have a T-Maxx(4-wheel drive nitro-truck) and a RC10-GT(2-wheel drive FAST truck). Loads of fun!
Anyone else?:) Trucks, plane, boats, ect

I use to build RC planes, haven't had time. I'm currently building a F4U Corsair..if I get back to work on it.

My wife got the kids those little matchbox size RC cars. Loads of fun on the dinner table.

For anyone in the SF Bay Area, it's the time of year when RCers are out in force in the parking lot of Mission College in Santa Clara on Saturdays. Sounds like an RX-7 convention :)

through growing up(or what of it i've already done) i've toyed with every R/c thing out there. My latest kick was the airplanes, i flew those things for a couple years. Shaun: good luck with that corsair, and even more luck flying it, those are supposed to be one of if not the hardest r/c plane to fly, i personally have seen three crash on their maiden flight with competent pilots.(not trying to discourage you). Only reason i know all this is that is my favorite plane and i really wanted one untill i learned how hard they were to fly.

My uncle is into R/C aircraft flying. Attached is a Piper Cub that he built (I don't remember the scale). He has the plans to build a B-25 R/C plane...

I've always wanted to get into it, but haven't had the $$ as of yet...I"d love to build an R/C B-17 and 707... :)

I used to build Tamiya 1/10 models... back before I got into Mercedes:D

I had 1/12 electric races cars and 1/10 gas cars. Built a wicked Porsche 917K-30 replica that was lots of fun.

Have often thought about getting back into it. When my daughter gets a little older, I'll have a good excuse to wander down to the hobby store again...

I've had my share of RC cars, but that was back int he day before gas powered ones were popular and affordable.

I still have and they still work fine though,

An original RC-10 and a Kyosho car which had a BMW body on it.

Both were hella fun, but battery life on electric sucks.

My friend has a gas powered RC-10 that does 80 mph!!

I have also had the privelage to take an RC 1/4 scale F1 racer, with hydraulic brakes, 2 speed tranny, and the thing was lightning fast, it would easily do 120 mph!!

I have also been able to see a 1/4 scale f-16 jet fly in mohave, thing was huge, and used real airtplane fuel, but was amazing to see this thing fly by remote control.

Helicopters are cool as hell, but tricky to learn to fly. still working on simulator for flying RC choppers. I have this thing called RCFS, which comes with a neat little program and a controller for the ocmputer that is a twin stick RC controller shape, lets you get an idea of control and all.

A guy that worked here up till a few months ago had probably that same program for learning to fly a copter. He had a friend that was heavy into copters and jets that made him a good deal on a copter. I've never seen one fly and would love to, but man I wouldn't want to try it. A crash can be pretty $pendy!:eek:
Where do you run a RC car that goes 120mph?! Must be fun!!

Back when I was much younger, I wanted this R/C car I seen... I think it was a toyota pick up truck called Bruiser. Man.. that thing was sweet and so life-like. I read some place that if you tied 6 of those trucks together, it would be able to pull the actual version truck!:eek:
