you've never seen Lombard St like this
http://www.vfaq.com/ClubMerch/Tshirt/lombard-back-750.jpg
Photo taken from a cherry picker about 50 feet above the foot of the Lombard twisties. Back before I had too many MBs, I had too many Misubishi Galants. One of mine is #19 up the hill not counting the front 3 and cars in driveways. C'mon, it's not hard to find the sedans in this photo. Sixto 95 S320 91 300SE 87 300SDL 83 300SD 92 Galant VR4 (sold) ... interesting what 5 years has done to my driveway Last edited by sixto; 06-05-2003 at 04:23 AM. |

That is pretty cool. I was out there a year ago and my son and I did one of the "Magic Carpet Ride" videos inwhich they have a scene that a guy is riding his bike down there and we push him off. Do you know what I am talking about? Right on the pier with all of the tourist stuff they have a place that makes videos of you (superimposed) flying all over the bay area.
I have an Uncle that lives just outside of SF in Maragua. He has a 2003 BMW M5 that has been tuned by Dinan. He autocrosses that car when he has time. |

I haven't driven down Lombard street since the night before the big earth quake in '89. Is it still open for car traffic?
Have a great day, |

That reminds me of Bill Cosby...
He was always talking about Lombard St. back in the early days. Yall ought to listen to it. That pic looks exactly like what he was talking about. A big ass parking lot.
*** Me: Doctor, I keep seeing rice-burners everywhere I look!! Its horrible!!! Doc: Well, you have two options. Dr. Kavorkian or never open your eyes. Me: Oh crap!! I see them when I close my eyes!! what is Dr. K's number? *** :-)
