I'm looking forward to buy Mercedes 230 E 124 model in Malaysia.
Could you kindly advise me on the below concern.
1. Engine manageability
2. Spare Parts availability
3. Does this unit has lots of electronic component that might give you an headache in usage
4. Maintenance
5. What ever you concern about this model ; pls do comment and advise me accordingly.

Also could you guide me thru where I can find the an complete Services Manual or Book for Mercedes 230 E comes with 124 series.
Do kindly recommend relevant books that is approriate for personal guide on

1. Electronic Engine Controls Manual
2. Mercedes W124 owners' workshop manual
3. Mercedes W124 Service Manual Book

I have search the net ; manage to get few information however not sure whether it would right for me chooose

From Mercedes-Benz Owners Association Club Store ; they recommend author's - Haynes & Glenn

In fact they are plenty out there in the market. From your experince which does really helps much.

I come from South Africa where 230E's of both the 123 and 124 variety were very common. In my opinion the 123 series 230E is a superior car. If I were you I'd rather try for one of them than the 124. The single biggest issue you need to be aware of is the condition of the timing chain.
