That's cool,

One of the guys on our team (Warren) can retire next week if he wants to. He isn't going to because he's got more things to pay for.

what do (did) you do? I'm an Electrical Engineer and although the "same-old-same-old" gets to me sometimes, I can't imagine not working. I'm kind of a work-a-holic and I need to work to get the juices flowing.

My ideal retirement scenario is if I retired and formed my own consulting company. My dad did this, but he had to pay his own payroll tax, so he really wasn't making any money doing that.

I work at a University's audiovisual dep.

I have the best (one of) job (having to work for a living) in the world (to me, lazy bum that I am).

I work 4 evenings a week and 10 months a year.
90% of student are (you guessed it) females

When the next cold season come's, I'll be upgrading my Photographic site to market my work to graphic designers and advertisers....this will be my "golden age" spending money

I don't know how you (poor) guys do it with only 2-3 weeks vacation :p I'm just starting to relax with that.

Some need to work...some need to watch them....

EDIT : ps; I'm in no way in the midle/higher income bracket...I am just a good manager of cash and a small/frugal spender (my needs are few)

Good summer to all

Dan

Howdy All,
Haven't had a vacation in about 4 years. I take days off during the dogs running season and try to pay off the expense the rest of the year

Well, I'm on the treadmill!

If (and when) I'm not working, I use my paltry vacation time to catch up on personal chores I don't have time for because of work...

...my ultimate retirement scenario would be to restore my old VW and get the rest of the MB fleet at 100%. Possibly do some added yard landscaping, home improvement projects, and finally get to REALLY use my music studio and compose the "Great American Symphony".

Dan,

Ever thought of using your photoshop skills to earn money?

1. restore people's old photographs on your own time for cash

2. get into freelance television making on-screen graphics...

You never know where good talent and something you love doing can also earn you money

'Course working ten months a year around a bunch of girls in their early twenties has some DEFINATE adantages!
