Question What would you do...

if you were in the men's room and a guy tried to shake your hand before he washed his hands?? I am having a serious problem at work. Every time I run into this one guy in the men's room at work he tries to shake my hand and say hey what's up etc. But he does it before he washes his hands. I think that is disgusting!!! The first few times I would just cough and pretend like I was sick so he wouldn't touch me...but now I don't know what to do. I am running out of excuses! Please help! Any suggestions??

...tell him, "hey wait a sec, lemme wash my hands first"...and go off and wash ur hands...he will then realize he didn't wash his own hands before wanting to shake ur hand, and be embarassed and hope that you didn't notice, and head off to wash his own hands too..and next time, after the experience, he will probably remember...

I like DuckMuck's idea! I'll keep that in mind next time. Otherwise I would usually just shake his hands and wash mine after.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Take it one step lower: instead of a regular Hershey Kiss, use one of the ones that have a nut in the middle. Act surpised when you see the nut then say, "Oh, guess I wasn't able to digest that the first time around." Then eat it.

I have a boss who doesn't wash his hands...it's tough to think I can just politely mention this anomaly to him under any circumstance.

Worse yet, the rest of the staff knows he doesn't wash his hands either...and he regularly brings food to the office and sometimes handles it as well. Then we all look stupid with our reluctance to taste anything he brings!
