Mercedes A/C
When you guys have your AC on how much of a load does it have on your engines? On my 380 when i hit the switch the load makes the car "tug" back cause its a great increase in load while driving. When getting onto a highway I sometimes have to shut it off cause I need that extra power that was lost.
I think its because the compressor is so big and the engine aint a "spring chicken" anymore. Opinions?

The A/C does tend to draw power and use gas, but I swear it is a lot more noticeable in my 300e. And my gas mileage is HORRIBLE!! When I hit my A/C and my car feels way too sluggish. Does anyone know what the problem could be??
Is it just because our cars are well aged??

I do not notice any difference in terms of performance whether the A/C is on or off...however, I do notice that during these hot summer days, the coolant temperature would rise slightly over 100C when the A/C is on...which is kind of disturbing...
