Giving hip hop a bad name

So I work at the Tweeter Center in Chicago as a security guard. Last night was the "Roc the Mic" Tour, featuring Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg.I worked this show, and while the music was pretty good, it was by far the WORST show I have worked in the 5 years at the theatre. We had 2 people stabbed in the parking lot, countless gang brawls, 3 attempted rapes, amongst other things. It made Ozzfest look good. At least at Ozzfest they listen to you. I was punched twice. Once in the back of the head, and once in the stomache. We had over 50 employees that had to be taken to the hospital. The worst was a car of six guys that got so frustrated with the slow traffic leaving the lot, they got out of their car and beat 3 parking girls. One of the girls lost all of her teeth. Granted, most of the people there were quite civil, but some were just animals. There was a boyfriend and girlfriend fighting, not all that uncommon. She shoved him. What has his response? To bite her, on the face. She had a circle of bleeding teeth marks on her cheek. Seriously people, I have been to/worked hip hop shows before. What's the deal?

Yeah I was gonna make a sarcastic remark, like...isn't saying "Giving hip-hop a bad name" an oxy-moron? Kinda like "military intellegence"?
Sorry. I suppose you can tell there's alot of us who aren't fans of hip-hop

Eventually, the "bad rap" (sorry for the pun) that is associated with hip-hop concerts is going to catch up with the genre.

Promoters will eventually have a hard time finding venues willing to put up with the violence that ensues. I can't imagine that gate receipts are really worth all of that, but maybe I'm just naive...

That concert was here in town less than a week ago... and didn't see or hear any problems. Probably because of those wacko's that live in Shock-town.:p

If only stupidity was painful.

Sometimes I wish I had a little device, that has a little button to push. Whenever I push this button, stupid people within 50 feet of me yelp out in pain.
If I should be having a bad day, I would just go to the mall, walk around and push the button a few times here and there. I am sure that I would feel much better afterwards.
Most of all, I would give this little box to Volkl42, so he could use it the next time he has to work with the same kind of crowd.

(naturally, I would also have a unit mounted in my car, for when I am on the road)

same here, but i think 50 Cent needs to be riddled with a Desert Eagle .50AE, that'll give him a good lesson never to brag about guns.

Maybe they'll all end up like Notorious B-I-G who is now D-E-A-D!
