Anyone replaced the felt door sill trim before?
Doing a search on this topic did not give me the information I am looking for.
I was looking over my car after I had finished applying Mothers Back to Black and noticed the felt door sill trim is now starting to fade. This is about right for a twelve year old car. How much does the felt door sill trim cost? Can you get it at the dealer still? How is it fastened? I would just like to know how much I can expect to pay here and make sure I can replace it myself. I think it will really make the rest of the car look so much better since it is the only part of the interior which is looking its age. Heaven is in the details remember. Please share any stories and information. With thanks, Mike McKinney

Yeah, the parts of it that are exposed to light / heat tend to fade. Compare the color of the upper trim to the lower trim where it's covered by the doors. The part itself is called an "edge guard" and they are not too cheap... between $40-60 (US dollars) depending on where you go. However, the local junkyards will sell those things DIRT cheap...
