Today's F1 race... can't trust Bridgestones :)

Anyone catch the end of the race when Michael Schumacher's Bridgestone (Firestone) tire blew? The start was a bummer, five cars taken out at the beginning.

You had time to watch that??!

Just kidding! I just realized I didn't congratulate you and your family on the birth of your son. My account got erased and I wanted to post under my original name. Don't know if that'll be able to happen, so Congratulations!!

Hope all are doing well.

Thanks Yeah I'm up every 2 hours during the night, so 6am was no big deal.

Kuan,

Congrates on ur addition :-)

As for the race, Michael's tire blew because they with the soft compounds where as McLaren went with the hard compound. You saw David run through the outside of Trulli and his tire held.

Man only if DC can get that qualifying down McLaren would be in such great shape.

Hats off to JPM though...if I can't root for a McLaren...he's the next best thing :-)

Kuan, there is hope. My almost 3-year old son was absolutely fascinated by the start pile-up. He was pretty annoyed when they finally stopped showing it from 10 different angles. Unfortunately, I agree about Bridgestones. Same with Pirellis -almost everybody runs on Michelins in the WRC (Another favorite with my son- he loves "funny jumping cars" with Peter Solberg in the Impreza being his favorite for some reason). So, just train them right (My son saw the first Rally coverage on TV at the age of 12 month) and you'll get to watch all of your favorites!!!

Bridgestones are certainly behind in technology, but I believe Michael had a flat due to an off course excursion while going around another car (Alonzo's Renault?). It happened earlier in the race, but the commentators were speculating that it was cut then and later went flat.

If Ralf's penalty of ten places holds up on review maybe there will be a little less pushing and shoving. I hate it when several of the top cars are wiped out in the first lap. Was it Malaysia where they lost eight cars?

yup, Malaysia. But these pileups let the back of the field do some fighting and passing instead just following. I enjoy it all.
