heavy people small cars

Just read that 60% of Americans are over weight and many over over weight. I'm not trying to be critical even though I weigh the same as I did 40 years ago in high school (145) and six feet tall, but after wacthing a number of "large" people struggling to get into their compact cars while waiting for my wife while she shopped I could not help but wonder as the autos sagged to one side......Skinny Willie........

For some time I've had a theory that the proliferation of large SUVs is driven by the proliferation of large people! They don't fit in cars anymore!

a good visual

One of the funniest thing I have ever witnessed: a few years ago, in the left lane of the expressway in Boston, a Ford Festiva flew past at about 85 mph, with 5 very large people stuffed into it- the thing was completely maxed out, from the suspension compressed (and looking very close to the ground) to the 13" tires, to the straining powertrain hauling all that weight- a friend and I laughed for a long time at the scene- poor thing was just used up, for sure.

Better yet are 85 lb. young women in 7500 lb. Ford Expeditions...

Have ya'll ever noticed too that alot of them are drinking/eating when you see them and if it is a drink, it has been "supersized"?

WILLIAM ROGERS, I don't think its good to weigh the same thing you weighed 40 years ago in high school. I think as people get older they naturally gain a little weight. If you get sick you're better off being slightly overweight, especially at your age.

I eat a lot more than our two Rat Terriers one of them is getting fat while the other is very skinny. There must be a clue in that........

i saw a W124 coming towards me as I was standing on the sidewalk the other day...

as it got closer I was like wow, someone slammed that thing, it was really low. I was like nice.

Then as it drove past me I saw the ATLEAST 350lbs man sitting in the driver seat. It looked like his stomach was sitting in the passenger seat.

Ouch.

A friend of mine is of that persuasion. He lives for all you can eat night at Tony Roma but he washes it down with a Diet Coke. Same thing at fast food places - two double whoppers and a Diet Coke.
