Talking My New Toy

It's not a Mercedes but this group seems to be well equipped to appreciate fine examples of automotive history...

I should be bringing this beauty home sometime next week or the week after. It does mean that I'll be selling my 1967 Dodge Monaco (anyone interested? )

Paul,

Thanks for the thoughts.

The car also comes with a trunk load (and then some) of spare parts. I believe that the brake servo is one of the items so if this is the iffy and difficult system, I may be all set.

W126,

Yup, the Monaco is the "Magnum" version of the 383 a year or two before Chrysler started using that term. That means it's got a 4 barrel carb, dual exhaust, and 10:1 heads. I've got the timing slightly retarded to run on today's lower octane gas but it still moves nicely when fully tuned up (which I've just about completed doing).
