Outlook Express question (NOW what did I do?)
 

OK, if I get an email with an attachment (from a trusted source, say a brother or sister) it won't let me look at the attachment.
If I right click on the attachment, i get the following message:

"OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail:(then it lists the attachment, such as fwd:fwd:yadda yadda yadda).
Do I have some security setting messed up?

I assume you recently re-installed Outlook Express or IE. ..

Microsoft has this "smarter-than-thou" attitude about these things and tries way too hard to protect you from yourself.

Fortunately, the fix is easy.

Tools-Options
select the "Security" tab, and un-check the setting for "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opend that could potentially be a virus."

Should be good to go.
