Nobel Poop Prize

The Nobel Peace Prize has been announced. Some are treating this as a big deal. Yassir Arafat is a past winner ... and with that disgusting fact, the Nobel Peace Prize instantly no longer deserved all of this attention. Some insignificant Norwegian leftists bestow their blessings on someone, and the world rejoices? Sorry ... I'm not impressed.

The fact that Illinois' former crooked governor George Ryan was nominated simply because he granted over a 100 violent murders the right to live off the tax payers money longer while the families of their victems continue to suffer makes me disrespect the Nobel Peace Prize. While many of the past winners were worthy of the award, I don't take it as much.

The Nobel Peace Prize 1973 was offered to both Henry A. Kissinger and Le Duc Tho (former North Vietnamese Communist minister of interior) for succeeding in arranging the ceasefire agreement between the US and the Vietnamese Democratic Republic (North Vietnam). Even though Le Duc Tho actually declined the prize, but giving him the prize in the first place was such an unforgivable mistake, reflecting the complete ignorance of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

Le Duc Tho was one of the most terrible and abominable North Vietnamese communists, a satanic butcher who ordered his associates to kill so many innocent people, including his "jungle" VC comrades during previous French and American resistance movements.

Mike, I noticed in your post that you failed to mention that the award to Arafat was jointly awarded to Shimon Peres, Israel's former Foreign Minister and Yitzhak Rabin, Israel's former Prime Minister. Just a slip?

The list also includes Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Jr., Woodrow Wilson, Theodore Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela/Fredrik De Klerk, the Dali Lama (14th), Anwar Sadat/Menachen Begin, UNICEF, Linus Pauling and a few other rogues and miscreants.

Not a slip, just irrelevant. There are few people LESS deserving of such a supposedly prestigious peace award than Arafat. Hitler maybe? Osama?

Mandela has also proven himself undeserving, as well as Jimmy Carter (don't bother to jump in swinging, Carter and Mandela fans--we've had those arguments in other threads already), and this further discredits the award, and devalues the contributions of people like King and Roosevelt, who DID actually deserve the honor.

How to win a Nobel peace prize.

1) Start a war with a neighbouring country.

2) Make peace with your neighbour.

Eric:
How can you fail to mention that Le Duc Tho's co-winner, Henry Kissinger cannot travel to quite a number of countries because he will be arrested for war crimes. He coordinated the murder of a Chilean general who stood in the way of his plans to sponsor a coup, not to mention the bombing of Cambodia.
