San Diego Fires

Ok guys, in case you haven't been watching the news, san diego has about 3 fires surrounding it, and they're spreading. So far, I know 3 people who evacuated their houses, and there's ash all over the place. Right now it's 77 outside at 7:18 at night. Here's a few pics for you guys.

I heard that the fires were started by a spark emitted from Air Force 1 while carrying prez to a ultra-rightwing fundraiser.

hahaha... funny joke. One was actually started by a hunter who got lost and shot off a flare gun. Another (camp pendleton) was started by the marines. I'm not sure about the rest of them.

There's a big fire that is stretching from the San Bernardino Mountains east to the Claremont / Upland / Glendora / San Dimas area, too.

It is about 7-10 miles from where I live in Diamond Bar, and there is ash everywhere.

There is also a big fire in the Simi Valley as well as the Santa Clarita Valley.

My parents live in Temecula, north of San Diego, and there is a fire there, too.

I believe I heard on the news that all of the fires were started by arsonists.

Why not live in Southern Ca.? The weather is beautiful and the nearby sea is warm. With the deal you get earthquakes and fires. Seems to be a compramise a lot of people are willing to live with. You live in NE, you get blizzards, the south has tornadoes and hurricanes and so on.

When the state falls into the Pacific, it will mean we shouldn't have been there.

There is one burning just outside of Denver as well. Got a glimpse of it today flying over the fire as we approached Denver International for connection.

It amazes me how far those smoke can spread. By the time I was flying out of Denver International an hour later, the smoke had blown right into the outbound flight path, and looked very ominous.
