Calvin & Hobbs ReRuns
About 200 papers around the country have signed up to publish re-runs of Calvin & Hobbs strips. The reruns will be for 17 weeks, until Dec. 31. They're being offered to mark the Oct. 4 publication of "The Complete Calvin and Hobbes" -- a three-volume, 23-pound hardcover from Andrew McMeel Publishing that includes 3,160 strips, six new art panels by Bill Watterson for the front and back covers, and an introduction by Watterson.
In Honolulu, "Cathy" will likely be axed to make room for C&H and then be replaced by another strip. Apparently her recent marriage has made her vunerable. I'm pushing for "Buckles."
