Donate to Mercedesshop.com?

I did a search but found no topics on this.

Mercedesshop.com has saved us all thousands of $.

I think I'll send a small token ($5-$20) to these guys!

If there is a paypal account I guess that would be best but maybe someone can suggest the pros and cons of check vs cash-in-the-mail vs Paypal. I originally thought cash would be most appreciated but at a business address it is sometimes unsure who may open it.

(MB Autowerks, Inc.
211 Peachtree Industrial Blvd.
Sugar Hill, GA 30518)

there are 14,000 members. If they all sent $5 that is $70,000! I know that aint gonna happen but I thought I'd do the math anyway.

No flaming from you cheap bastards out there! This is completely optional!! You can always support the site by buying from Fastlane and Partsshop, of course.

I hereby certify that I am in no way affiliated with the owners/operators of Mercedesshop.com. just a rabid fan.

-Tom

While mercedesshop is a great locaton, folks have asked to provide contributions before and the owners were not interested. OTOH, if you want to support a member of the community, look no further than here:

Perhaps the site owners would collect donations sent in by members and distribute the money in some way to Site Members that had losses from this tragic and disasterous fire. Guys?

I doubt that they have the time for the research to effectively do that.

Not that I'm a cheap bastard, but that MB Autowerks logo up at the top is how they get paid. It's called advertisement. Cheap advertisement.
OTOH, MBCanada.com has gone off the air because they didn't want sponsers and advertising. I'd have gladly donated to them.

Seems like I heard it was costing them something like $500 a month. Seems like alot, but that's what I think they said. Not sure who was fronting the money. Last I heard they were in search of a new web host to see if they could bring down the cost. They were supposed to be back up by Oct 31, but so far nothing.

Is mercedesshop.com losing money with this forum? I mean.. with the amount of people they have on this forum they should be getting pretty good advertisers. So essentially we are helping them make money by frequenting their forums and making purchases through fastlane/partsshop.
