Red face Didn't I state, "no flack"?

Have driven 300s many times, and glad you like your car. Because I state my opinion (and others) as to the engine and model mismatch, does't mean that you have to take offense. I did state that in my post,"no flack please". This is an opinion forum! As to BMWs. You're way off the "thread" topic. If you want to brag to everybody how your Beemer can "beat " other cars, start your own thread. Teenybopper mentality!

Hey hey...take it easy

Let's steer into the skid, and keep the conversation car-based.

The terrain in this area is fairly flat. The car has plenty of get up and go so I'm keeping her.

I had to adjust the wipers. While I did that, I noticed some leaf material. One thing led to another and I got my Shop Vac out and was vacumming all kinds of decayed trees out of the base of the windshield. I need to take out the plastic insert and really clean it out. This car must have spend it's life under a tree! YUK!

I'll get some pics soon. I was out this morning getting some parts, front rotors and pads as well as steering stuff. I'll be busy this weekend. I also need to do my 960's front end.

I have been driving a 300SE for as long as my memory serves me. From all of the cars driven to date - I find the 300SE responsive and delivers when required. This, of course, is when the engine is well tuned and maintained.

There is really no comparison when compared to a higher capacity 126 as they belong to a different class. As far as the 300 goes, it serves the driver well and with much satisfaction.

The only down side I find is the bulk of the car when it comes to tight corners. Otherwise, for speeds below 100 kmh it drives just as well as the latest 220.
