Advice, please! Body work turned bad :(
It's been a month since I got my car back from the bodyshop. I've noticed a few odd things with the paint and today i noticed that on a wheel arch the paint is bubbling as if it has rust beneath it.
first of all - squiggle marks- these came becasue the bodyshop did not do a sand with a fine grade of sandpaper after the heavy grade they used in the first place. looks like loops etched into the metal and the paint just set into these etches. second of all - the rust. they didn't sand deep enough into the metal or a contaminant got in before they applied the paint. my car is rust free thats why i think it is odd. they garuntee their paint for the life of the car. so i drove over today to talk about it with them and they are GONE!!! completely disappeared. what can i do? i have the guys name and number and ill give him the chance to act in good faith. but if not, am i screwed? the insurance company did not pay for the repairs, instead they paid for the car's value and i bought it back at salvage value. im soooooo upset! help!

If they are truly GONE, you are truly screwed. All you can do at this point is keep your eye on things and hope for the best. No telling what tricks they used and you are just another one of their victims. Really hate hearing about crap like that as you have one beautiful wagon. We could fix it for sure, but there have to be good shops closer. Pete
