Something profound about seeing lawyers #3 in the accident list;)
"Have you recently been in an accident? Do you now suffer from chronic neck ache? Call us!":D

So much for blaming "Soccer Moms" for all of the traffic ills...

politicians top 5 tickets, bottom 5 accidents.

id just like to say, that if youve got a pile of speeding tickets and no accidents, that means youre a good driver, in my opinion.

why cant they get themselves out of the tickets? hmm...

The author of the article wrote:

"Lots of cell phone use, a common factor among doctors, lawyers and real estate agents, may also contribute, said the spokesperson. 'There's plenty of evidence that shows that cell phone use is a big contributor to accidents,' he said."

In my line of work, I am seeing that Some states and jurisdictions are now recording (on the accident report) whether or not a cell phone was in use at the time of an accident.....sometimes listing that as a contibuting factor.

Because for a polititian, it's advantageous to be at the top of the ticket!

Teen drivers very dangerous!

In Phoenix, almost every teen guy has a car with - 1) A loud exhaust system 2) A giant Indie type spoiler 3) Lowered suspension 4) Rims that cost more than the car, with a tire that has a 2" low profile. 5) Little or no driving experience, but has seen, "The Fast and The Furious" and "2/Fast 2/Furious" so many times, that they think every time they go anywhere it's a "death race" against everyone. I really don't care if they want to commit suicide, but wish they would leave me and my family out of their death wish.

Unfortunately, Phoenix is not alone... :(

Well, here in VA we have people with 10-second delay reaction times...

Gilly 11-13-2003 07:21 PM

I wonder where mechanics fit in tot he list? People who have a good working knowledge of all the vehicle systems and may be more in tune with the vehicle limitations?

Play more video games. If people have delayed reaction times where you live, don't drive carelessly and fast because you are frustrated. Us Mercedes owners don't have to prove anything to car racers. We already know that they have little, tiny wee wees. Ours are big, with tri-star symbols.

Yeah, and teens aren't even the biggest problem here -- the illegals are. There was a classic incident a few months ago involving a major accident in a busy Phoenix intersection during afternoon rush hour. Both drivers fled the scene! Beyond that, there are plenty of "adults" acting stupid here too. A 100 MPH BMW goes airborne (in Cave Creek I believe) and lands on a family vehicle killing all occupants. An oversized pickup rolls right over a car full of laborers during a drag race, killing most or all occupants. A lawyer pulls a hit-and-run fatality in Mesa. I swear, the scariest drivers on the planet are right here.
