Ways to increase push up numbers..
Initially when I first started doing push ups I could do them pretty easily, and it became a little easier as I did them more. However, no I am in my fourth day and they don't seem to be getting any easier: in fact, they seem to be getting harder to do! Is it best to give my body some time to rebuild the muscle, or just continue everyday? I am doing about 100 each day, and they don't seem to be getting much easier. Should I be resting?

Patience grasshopper -- it's only 4 days. If your body is telling you to give it a brief rest, that's what you should do. If the pushups are getting more difficult, that's a pretty clear signal, which you should heed.

Most muscles cannot be strenuously exercised every day. Some need a day to rest and recover, some need two days. You should be able to find a chart of which muscles need how long on a bodybuilding site.

You'll get more sore and more tired before it gets better. Just keep plugging away at it, and don't hurt yourself. Use good form, in any exercise.
