w124 fuse #5 experience
so i'm waiting for my daughter in my car, engine running, when this buzzing goes off behind the dash. never having heard of this one i turned off the radio trying to figure out where the noise was coming from when i see the oil pressure was zero - so i quickly shut the engine off. looked under the hood, checked the oil and it was ok so went back in to try to start the car and the buzzing is still there and what's more nothing happened when i turned the key in the ignition! my daughter gets a ride home with a friend and i'm calling AAA when a guy walks over to me and says he works for MB. i stop talking to AAA long enough to tell him what's going on when he says "it's just a fuse". puts the spare in and everything is ok! WHEW!!! i just did a search and found the references to it. in retrospect i should have called MB roadside assistance but i didn't want to wait so long. i felt that there was something really wrong somehow. what were the chances that an MB service manager would be walking by????

When you say "nothing happened when i turned the key in the ignition", do you mean the car wouldn't start until the fuse was replaced?
I'm getting zero oil pressure at idle, but the car runs...and has been doing this for several months. No tapping or knocking, so I'm suspecting the oil sender. Am I right?
