Did you notice this at the end:

Sorry, 'scuse that episode. It's just that with all this hazing crap and other teen-stupidity and -cruelty stuff in the news lately, and people talking about taking responsibility, and then when someone does something really, really stupid but is lucky enough that nothing worse than some mediocre body art happened and is trying to take responsibility for being such a doofus...she not allowed!

Is it just me

Yeah, she needs her but grounded (not to mention sanded....)

But we also protect children from stupid adult tricks by putting the onus on adults to watch over them. We expect unsupervised kids to do stupid things and we expect adults to exersize reasonable judgement. Its a burden of adulthood.

Bottom line is--if you're an adult prone to do stupid things, make sure you don't do stupid things around kids.
