A local talk radio show found a site that talks about which are true and which aren't (most aren't) but I don't recall the address.

Old wives say: You'll catch a cold if you go outside with wet hair.
This notion is malarkey, says to David Whitaker, D.O., an emergency medicine physician in New Jersey. "Colds are caused only by viruses," he says. Going outside with a soaking head (or forgetting your jacket on a chilly day) isn't going to make you sick.

I think this one is wrong... while you don't get a cold from having wet hair, you do lower your immune system so that you are more succeptible to catching viruses than you would be normally.

From a health book I read.. I also think you are correct. I remember reading that cold tempretures affect the body's ability to fight germs.
