Here's an excerpt:

"The congressional spending spree of the past few years is well-documented, and this year promises to be no different. Over the last four years, federal spending has increased from $16,000 per household to $20,000 per household, the highest level since World War II"

I don't get why Congress, the opposite of Progress, is throwing our money away.

They just LOVE spending our money, don't they!

If they have so much faith in all of thier government re-distribution of wealth programs, like Social Security, then why don't THEY participate? Congressmen don't have to count on Social Security for thier retirement...they have legislated themselves thier very own private Congressional pension plan, with guaranteed retirement money, lots more than Social Security would provide them with, and they don't have to put any portion of thier salary into it, and guess who pays for it!

Yep, WE do.

Surprised? I wasn't.

But would it be worth being a politician to have to get it?

hahaha....Apparently they think so! All you have to do is get yourself elected and serve one term, and then you're set! A lifetime of taxpayer-funded pension! Hell, if I didn't hate meetings and wearing neckties so much, I'd consider it!

Want term limits? Take away their retirement system.
