Wooo! College

I just was accepted to the University of Rhode Island with a 10K scholarship. Yay!

So Marines this summer, then a Marine reservist and college student.

YES!

Already got an off campus apartment set up, and a friend who is going to chip in half for the 995 Bang and Olufsen CD player

Wow, congrats on the news. It's a huge load off the shoulders when you find out something like that.

Going to college (OU) was absolutely the best and funnest thing that I ever did. Not that it is bad after college, but the experiences you have during college will stick with you forever. Make sure savor the moment and have fun along the way to graduation.

Congrats.

Thumbs up I'm in the AF myself

Would the Marine Corps call you up right away, or do they wait while you go to college??

Don't get that bang thing CD player. Just use your computer, hook up a $200 THX certified 4.1 speaker system from logitech and play mp3's and you're set!

Hey.. A Bang & Olufsen is not just audio equipment. It's a piece of art. And it's also a statement. ("i got the $$ to buy thing like this")

I like B&O. I have the MX7000 TV and the BeoCom 3000 telephone. I bought the stuff years ago and it still looks like new (by design). And i can sell it for nearly the same as i payed for it 5 years ago..

And then you guys over there also make a nice contribution to the Danish economy when buying it..

Congrats on the acceptance! Enjoy your free time while you can now!

B&O gear is pretty pricey (and I have YET to acquire even ONE piece ), but I'm not going to act like a parent and tell you not to buy it...

...after all, back in my college days I made the wise move of spending my guaranteed loan money on stereo gear and an exotic 10-speed bike! :p

Anyway, WAY TO GO!
