anyone with a w126 got a question regarding bumpers
Can anyone get a picture of how their bumper mounts? Both front and rear? trying to figure out how hard it would be to put euro bumpers on a us spec.
If anyone can help I'm greatful |
I had a Euro spec bumper on my front put on. It was simply a remove and replace. You had one large nut and bolt one each side... These were accessed by the wheel arch. Then you had 4 nuts on each of the 2 bumper shocks (8 in total). Once you removed this.. You simply pull the bumper out.
My brain is a bit fuzzy now... I did this in about 20 minutes last year. Pretty straightforward job. |
hmm ok the one I took off today had two bolts on each bracket in the center and one on each side by the wheel. I don't recall any shocks

you just take the shocks out?

Hmm.. My euro bumpers had a metal/iron brace(?) not sure of the right word... but anyways, the bolts that stick out of the car's body went into the bumper itself and you simply take the nuts and screw them on. Sort of hard to explain with words.. sorry I don't have any pics:(
