Lutece closes its doors
The famed American landmark, Lutece, will serve its last meal on Valentine's day.

Kuan, it's a shame about Lutèce. When I went there I remember I was the youngest one there. All the men were as big as dinosaurs and the women they were with were as thin as pencils. Maybe the owners were worn out.
Lutèce now, Le Bec Fin tomorrow. People like places like Aquavit, I know I do, quick and easy----smoked sturgeon and eels accompanied by Pouilly fumé. |
James, you weren't even there when Lutece was at its best. It's hard to imagine, but it was twice as good when Andre was there. And if you're ever in Philly and can't get into Le Bec Fin, try Opus 251.
The rest of you, lutefisk sandwiches for you all. |
That must be where Minnesota nice comes from. The ability to smile while you're gagging.

NYC is overrated, and only adored by those trapped there...
