I did something like that when I loaded an airboat onto a trailer. I'd done it many times, maybe a hundred times, without a problem.
Its a bad feeling having a 454 spinning at about redline (to dry-load, you need power) and have the whole shebang sway hard to port. I wish I'd gotten a picture of one of my lesser moments. Botnst |

My dumbass excuse was that I had a boatload of equipment and also two ice chests full of chilled samples and about 3 inches of water because the bilge pump was shorted for the 5,000th time and I don't like getting in the cage with the prop while the engine is hot. A smart person knows to unload and pump the bilge before loading.
