I heard the one today where the lady locked her kid in the car and the seatbelt was around the kid's neck. Couldn't they just dispatch LAPD to go beat the hell out of her for being an idiot??

Yea, I am sick of it as well. Actually, I will not buy a car if it has it.
I get the feeling it will be required to carry it in the future just like insurance.

it's just like everything else these days, it's another way to track people, their coming and going, speed, violations, on and on.
i wouldn't be surprised if it were -required- on every vehicle soon. commit a crime and run in a vehicle so equiped, they just shut it down. they need to find you for tax evasion, they just track your vehicle and walk right up. better yet, let's just get -onstar- implanted into our bodies so we can be tracked 24 hours a day. hey..., how about a bar code on our foreheads or hands. maybe we all need a special number and can't buy or sell anything without it. great idea huh. |

YES!
It scares me to know that they could find me at anytime. I get in the car to get away from people and my cell phone has that great off button and no GPS. |
