For me, none. It cost me $18.30 to fill up the Toyota last night, and that price included a 20 oz coke on the receipt. Price was $1.699, and I went 505 miles on the tank before filling.

Howdy All,
None!ˇ If I stick to my way of doing things I only have to fill both vehicles once a month. As far as the country is concerned. We just look across the pond and say "Glad we don't pay those prices.

If you believe the rising price of oil and gas won't have an effect on you beyond what you pay at the pump, you're in for a rude awakening.

It has a serious effect on the aviation industry. For every penny that jet fuel goes up, it costs airlines as large as United, American, and Delta $25 million-$30 million PER YEAR for each airline.

So far, jet fuel has gone up more than 25 cents per gallon since last summer.

Whatever gets aggressive drivers in SUVs off the road is worth what it costs to fill-up the S420.

Prob not much, I may curtail some of my driving around a bit; The gas lovin MB is on the sidelines right now. I still plan on road trips but gas is always my major cost.

Dairy sure shot up a month ago and just went up last week again. That's just the beginning...

Absolutely. I hope those yups really feel it where it hurts.

If a vehicle is ever tailgating you at 85 mph, 98% of the time it is some dolt driving a 5-6K pound SUV. Probably getting a solid 8-10 mpg at those speeds.

Jim Rogers (Investment Biker and commodities genius) says that rising oil prices are the best leading indicator of inflation.

filled the SD up today to the tune of 49 bucks (28 gallons @1.73.9)

Caused me to go out and buy a motorcycle. I will be probably paying $200 a month on it like I did the Benz (which is paid off in a week, w00t!), which is $150 over what I am being billed monthly for payments. So, in the months that I drive it soley, it pays for itself.

It does that because when I waste as little gas as I can while driving the car, its still $60 a month @ 12mpg. At 50-55mpg on the bike, my gas consumption goes down to about $10 or so. Probably less. Hence the "paying for itself."

Let's just all sit around and bash SUV drivers, that sounds fun. I'm just kidding, people try and blame gas prices on SUVs? That's just rediculous. I wish I had an SUV, don't really know why, but some of them are neat looking vehicles, most however are ugly, like the Nissan ones. The Denalis are always a favorite of mine.

The thing that I that always gets me is no matter how high the gas prices go up, it doesn't seem to even put a dent in SUV sales.

How about $8.00 a gal. Seriously - not that I think that’s where we’re headed now, but what difference would eight dollars make? It would affect far more than just your driving – eeheeh

So why do they have to tint the windows in these monster SUV's? I hate the fact that when one is on the highway, you can't see around or through them.

I am a fan of GM trucks. They make a really nice product, and that Vortec is the stuff of dreams. You can't beat the sound of an OHV Chevy smallblock V8.

Fuel economy. Well, I drove a 2001 Z71 4x4 5.3 LT package around for a while. Even though it had power, I learned to lay off the gas, because it drank it like an Irishman drinks whiskey when he's feeling oppressed.

Can't exactly drive 'em like diesels, you know. You can practically watch the needle move on the gauge WOT. People are not smart enough, apparently, to realize how much money they could be saving.
