Lightbulb Poll: Feel the heat? (does your AC work?)

Anyone in socal get annoyed by the heat today? I think its way too much already. Most of my day was in anaheim, which i think hovered around 80s-90s. Came home to montebello and was it hot. And i was helping a stranded BMW driver too (ran out of fuel). How many members with older model mercedes with working A/C? I think this would be interesting.

I ripped out my center console to repair something yesterday, boy was it hot also. Gonna leave it out until i can replace all the pods for the climate control system. I think i'll get my A/C working by the end of the week.

The a/c works in my Benz, but not very well (R-134a convert )...once it gets up above 85° or so, the a/c barely keeps up.

The a/c doesn't work at all in the truck, but I don't drive the truck that much...and I plan on fixing it while having the engine apart.

Right now, my biggest complaint is no a/c in the house...I've got windows open and fans going at full bore, and it barely keeps up during the day.

I HATE HEAT!!

I'm scared to turn mine on as I'm sure it won't work, or I'll be able to watch the fuel gauge needle move down as I drive while mildly warm air gently flows out the vents.

I guess it'll have to come on when it gets really humid out and I can't stand it anymore, but until then it's windows and sunroof

I hate heat too, I'm used to a temperate climate!

It got a touch over 100 yesterday. My AC worked ok, not as cold as it used to but it cooled the car nicely. I looked at the sight glass the other day and saw lots of fine bubbles, it was almost completely white, but I'm cool and the fans come on. There's probably a very long wait for AC service right now.

I tested my A/C, bad pressure switch, so I currently bypassed the pressure switch. Now... the compressor turns on, but it isn't cold. What can it be? I'm just assuming its low on R12 at the moment. Hoping that's the only problem and no bad evaporator core or something like that.
