Anyone here ever do work on Chrysler mini vans?
Did the brakes today and it was easy, but now I have a hole bunch of other issues with the Caravan. The shocks and struts are bad... the motor leaks oil like crazy from the valve covers and the cruise will not set it self over 70mph (85 was top before).
Wondering if maybe some of you out there have worked on these and had some tips espically on the motor since it is barried under the dash. (Mit 3.0l) PS Did the pads rotors and calipers for 60 dollars |

I had a 90 LeBaron 3.0L that I ran to 170K, and I know a lot of the systematic problems.
The valve cover gaskets gets hard over time and needs to be replaced (about $10). Another leak point is the cam seals at the passenger side of the engine. You'll get good help for your vehicle if you go to Allpar.com. I was a post whore on that site for the longest time. I even wrote a few articles for that site that are still there. I replaced my LeBaron with the E320, that's why I'm now here.

haha when I had the 500 a Turbo Lebaron OD broke at 228k and was the spare car
I replaced the gaskets about a month ago and was leak free for 3 days and then all of the problems returned even after I re torqued the valve cover bolts and the backside of the motor took over an hour to change so I'm not looking forward to that. But thanks for the site I will check it out |
