1st road cruz... hehehe

Howdy all,
Well I bought a 82 300sd turbodiesel. had 218k on it, but seems to be well cared for. I installed a new set of shocks on it then desided it's ready for its first long road trip.
Drove to seattle(grandma's house) and picked her up then drove to the coast for fresh fish & chips. Then we drove back, grandma was watching the fuel gauge like a hawk, we used about 1/4 of a tank for that.(roughly 220k round trip) drove around the seattle-tacoma area for another 4 hours, then back to the house to sleep. Got up went to breatfast, returned grandma to the house then mosied back to Vancouver, wa.
I was impressed with the way it rode, and handled, and its abitly to not wait to fly. My girlfriend took a nap, when she woke up and looked at the speed-o, then put her glasses back on, she comments are we really running 90? yeppers :) :D
Think maybe next week we'll jet to reno....hehehe... it's only 732 miles away, but who care's....

Very !

Do you know how accurate your fuel gauge is? Actually, for that matter, what's your average fuel mileage been thus far?

Gotta love these 617 turbos :)

Hi warden,
I don't know how truthfull the fuel gauge is, and really haven't checked mpg yet. Gota wait till next fill up, but I get better than my 6.9 does...hehehe... and its not bad for a 6200lb truck. I would of used about a tank & 1/2 for same trip. take care
