Ah, there is only one area in the US with truly sugar white sands. What part of the Florida panhandle are you visiting? |

Aw man, I'm going there later this summer to do some mapping for the gov! The gov don't pay well but we get the best toys and playpen.
That is a beautiful area. Ever been to that Oyster bar in Appalachicola? What's its name, on the river? |

Mexico beach is very nice and is kind of the last frontier of development in Florida. The sand is much softer on Pensacola beach than Mexico Beach but the sand is super white in both places. Enjoy and have a great time.
Take a deep sea fishing trip if you can. The fish have been tearin' it up! One of my friends caught a 40 pound redfish last weekend. The snapper and amberjack's have also been biting really well too! While you are there, you would be missing out if you didn't drive to Seaside for dinner at least one night. Seaside has the best restaurants in the Panhandle but they can be a little pricey. |
