Sweet, not as pretty as a 3.0csi, but much easier to own. I seem to recall something about the thermal reactors in certain years being a big problem on the 6 series, suceptable to cracking I think. Not sure of the year range though, at that price it should be a pretty safe bet, if you don't like it you can always send it my way...

The thermal reactors were in the 70s....
In case there is a misunderstanding, the price is not $750cdn.
The $750 was deducted from the original asking price!
But I assure you that the price that as been offered to me is under the estimated NADA price list.....

I agree with you on the 3.0 sweet thing...

Listen to the engine very closley for tapping since the bango bolts on the oiler bar are known to work lose and starve the topside of oil. Mine were lose and people have said they have found them laying in the head. also make sure it shifts well
Good Luck

You asked for the one pic I can't find. Not the big six head but very much alike. not a great pic but u can see the oiler bar in the middle of the head between the valves. Only has 2 bolts in it towards the outside center.
Tapping isnt always bad it may just be valves out of adjustment on theses cars which is very common. The injectors also tick!! You have to be real good about listening and listen for a metallic tink from the head.

Was ready to go, got the certified check (just in case), my friend called to say he was comming, so i decided to call the seller to confirm my ETA at the dealership.... POW, he tels me that there is a problem with the car....... I say to myself "not mecanical S%?$&T!!!" He began to explane to me that the car was held-up by the licence bureau, because the car as a salvage / wreck or accidented title!?
They have to clear that up before they can sell it, he says that the red tape shoud be cut at the lates on thursday.
He says that there is a mistake, the car was not involved in an accident.

Will keep you posted.......

The members here are more interesting to talk to than on other board, even Bimmer boards.
It's seems that the Bimmer boards that I have visited have not reached maturity yet.
There is alot of photos (witch is good) but tecknical expertise seems limited.
Maybe I'm completetly wrong about that.

if your talking about DTM your ever so right! Seems like all the ricers have come over to the board. Roadfly is usally ok but I use Mye28.com a lot. Try the Big six group I hear good things about them.
