summer car for sale?
A good friend of mine is staying with me this summer and was going to have his Isuzu Trooper shipped out for $1,000 each way, $2K total. That's from NC to Los Angeles.
I thought it may be wiser to buy an old reliable benz and use that over the summer and then sell it at the end. Does anyone have any advice or know of any reliable benz's for sale in the LA area? It's just for the summer and I don't want to spend more than about $2K.

Best way to find a deal in LA is to get some cash in hand. Get the “Recycler” early Thursday morning and go looking. There is an all-German salvage yard on the west side of Alameda about 2 mi. north of the 105 that sometimes has something. I know you're new to LA, but if your up for a little adventure go down into Wilmington – you’ve got to know your way around down there, but you can always find something – eat at Maya, Jim’s #2 or Dirty Dorothy’s, all on Anaheim – that’s a trip.

There was a 300DT on LA's craigslist for $300,- Located in Venice or the Marina.

That's really an excellent idea ,who knows he might like it well enough to drive it home or shine it up and sell it for more than it cost. Lots of MBs on Ebay in southern CA ...........
