Going to florence on Monday (!) and looking for a hotel still..

Any ideas? Ideally I'd like a swimming pool, (but that may be asking a lot) and to be within a short bus journey of the city.

Or I suppose I could hire a car, but am only 21, and it's just extra £££.

Try the Lung'Arno. It's right on the river near the Ponte Vecchio. I don't think it has a pool but it is a great little hotel.
