Ever seen a modification that made you laugh outloud?

I couldn't believe my eyes the other day:

I was at a stop light when a mid 80's Chrysler K-car drifted past me in the next lane. At first I thought something was sticking out of the driver's open window.

Upon closer inspection I figured out what he had done. Since the car had no air conditioning or it had long gone dry, he had rigged the elbow piece of a house gutter and fixed it upside down above his side window!! Air would rush into one end of the gutter and be directed at a right angle straight into his head while driving.

Effective, but pretty funny looking. The only thing he forgot to do was to paint it the same color as his car! I only wish I had a camera with me!!

On a VW forum one member painted his brake pads and discs white!
It gets better!

Wait for it...

He had steel wheels and hubcaps!

A friend of mine tells me that the heater on his brother's Chevy sedan wasn't working, so they put a wood stove in the back seat. I would have liked to have seen that one.

I saw one back about 1980 I wish I'd had a camera handy for. It was some small car, probably a little Toyota or something, don't remember what now. But it was obviously a "work in progress". It had a "custom" front end built on it...out of plywood and bondo. They were trying to streamline it, like a Corvette or something like that. The plywood was too much! Probably added just a few hundred pounds to the front end of the poor little car.
We laughed our a$$e$ off all the way home

The funiest thing I saw wasn't truly a mod, maybe it was just a poor attempt to replace a missing fender on a car. This was several years ago in Palmdale CA. It was a hideous green Dodge Dart and instead of having a driver's side fender, the guy put a piece of ugly green shag carpet to take its place. It was heading in the other direction but he was going slow enough for me to get a good look.

I saw a honda civic with a homemade spoiler. It was one of the really high ones and made out of unpainted 2x4s (yes wooden two-by-fours).

Too bizarre!

I've seen this rediculous thing cruising the streets of downtown Portland Oregon. According to the website, it has over 300K miles! The kook that drives it is running for mayor of that city as well.

I think an appropriately sized boulder would top it nicely.

I remember seeing that monstrosity in a thread on this forum some time ago. BTW, I think its part '61 Imperial.
