The Messiah president hires a lawyer
For those interested in felonious behavior in the Bush administration, CBS tonight disclosed that the Messiah president has hired a private attorney to represent him in the ongoing investigation of the leak that outed a CIA operative, which is a felony.
You may remember that a "high level official in the Bush administration" leaked to columnist Robert Novak that Valerie Plame was, in fact, a CIA agent--this, allegedly, because Plame is married to a WMD expert who wrote an op-ed piece before the Iraq war discounting the administration's claims of WMD in Iraq. Stay tuned. Joe B. |

Man, that is explosive stuff. It never ends for these guys.
Even if the president isn't involved in the actual leak, he has been insisting publically for months he has no knowledge of who the leaker is. Knowing how this bunch operates, I find that incredibly doubtful. Bush and Cheney get a heads up on everything. If Bush was lying about not knowing who the person was or the plan to out Wilson's wife, he could be liable for an obstruction or conspiracy rap. He has a government provided attorney for anything he does in an official capacity. Hiring a private attorney would seem to indicate he has a personal problem with the criminal justice system. Democrats are going to be thanking the Ayatollah Republicans for all those legal precedents they set when they were chasing Clinton's weenie around the country. Bush will not have a single legal claim to prevent him from not sitting in front of a Grand Jury, thanks to them. No dragging this one out in the courts for years - it'll be tell the truth or a perjury rap, with an election coming up. I say it all adds up to this: Bush is getting subpoenaed. Thank you, Paula Jones
