President Reagan passed away today
 

Just found out about this, he passed away at today at age 93. I think he will remembered as a great man, I know I had a lot of admiration for him.

Seemed like a pretty good person. It's a shame that Alzheimer's disease hit him, but lots of researchers are working on it.

It was sad to hear he passed away today. He was our last great president. He had the highest approval rating of any president ever when he left office.
At least his suffering is over. Alzheimer's is a very debilitating disease.

He will be sadly missed by many.:(

I will miss him, one of the greatest Presidents we ever had...God Bless Ronald Reagan

It's sad to see him go, but I'm happy that his suffering is over. I'm proud to say that the first president I ever voted for was Ronald Reagan. I drove 80 miles to my old college (where I was registered) to vote for him even though it was pretty clear he would win anyway.

God bless Ronald Reagan.

Sad that he passed away... amazing that he lived so long with the disease. Not many people will live to the age of 93.

I guess it's a short conclusion to a very long painful ending.

Let the renaming of everything the government owns begin.

Reagan was the only Republican I ever voted for. Tonight I saw a film of one of the speeches he gave as president. I was struck how "spinless" it was - it was down to earth, honestly delivered, and he admitted to the mistakes he was responsible for in a humble way, and said what he was doing to correct them. We haven't seen that in any of the presidents since he left office. He was a fearless man who did not have to use fear to manipulate others, instead he seemed to constantly exude goodwill, while at the same time communicating a firmness of purpose that a nation pretty much lost in the woods after Vietnam and then two very weak Presidents, very badly needed. He deserved the title "The Great Communicator". I wonder if we will ever see that again. Rest in Peace, President Reagan.

I tend toward the liberal side of things, but for some reason have a fondness for Reagan both within and without the political.

In some respects, Reagan represented some of the more schizophrenic elements of our society, but he was also somehow very cool, looked great, was great to listen to, and was totally American.

He presented as a leader in a way no president in my adult life really has (Bush Sr. through Bush Jr., not much to go on).

I`ll forever fondly recall his comment in one of the debates with Mondale when the question of age came up, something like; "I will not let the youth and inexperience of my opponent.....". I think that at that very moment Mondale realized he was toast, just look at the expression on his face when you see if next time, as I`m sure it will be played many times this week. He had a look of respect and defeat, both at the same time.

A very sad day. He left us with a great legacy. His optimism will live on.

The 1980 election was the first one in which I was old enough to vote and I voted for Reagan, also voted for him in 84. This is a sad day. Some one else posted that he was the last great president, I could'nt agree more. Where have the great leaders gone? They certainly are'nt running for any office that I know of.

The title "The Great Communicator" didn't only apply to Americans he was highly respected abroad as well.

If we could only have him lead our country now. He scared the livin bejesus out of terrorist..
