Thumbs down Booooooring

Man.. can these topics get any more boring than they already are???? I see the same topics about George W Bush reworded posted over and over again. I am frankly getting tired of it. I sign on to this forum to see whats "new"... but its just the same thing EVERY DAY! If its not about politics then its posts from a certain clique that go into detail about luxurious items. Reminds me of women comparing shoes... and I already thought you couldn't get any more boring than that. To make things even more boring... I have to read through the "kiss @$$" posts that are written to and by members in this little virtual "clique".

Excuse my rant... but this has been going on for a while now and now I had to "express" thoughts.

Here is what I think the mods should do... MAKE A FREAKIN' "POLITICAL TALK ONLY" FORUM!

EDIT: Oh yea... topics on religions, topics on how a certain ethnic/race is inferrior, and the topics on "Clinton bad.. Bush Good, and vice versa are really up there on the boredom scale.

While I agree with you, there is an alternative......

Start ones you do want to talk about!!:p That's what I do. Alot of them don't get much response, but post enough "stuff" and you get lucky once in awhile.

I admit they are getting circular and are coming back around to the point they started. But it is up to the users to post newer fresher topics so the others get old and die. So think of something.

Doesn't bimmerforums have a separate forum for political stuff, under their off-topic section? Here, there are enough other forums to keep me interested in at least something. The diesel forum's E320 CDI threads, for example....

Howdy All,
Like Rick says, the ones that are different get ignored and in half a day they are on page 2. I put up what knd of dog part 2 and I don't think half the known dog owners saw it. I pick a couple threads to post to and ignore the rest. Thats why you don't see me in here too often. I think things run in cycles. This just happens to be a BIG down cycle

That storm scared the beejezus out of me! I had to quickly drive home after presenting a presentation at school because I heard of a possibility of HAIL! Sure enough, when I turned the corner to my street.. it started to hail. I floored it, and drove up the driveway and into the garage. At that point, it started to hail size of nickels. I was afraid I would end up with a dented up car like my friend's parents' late model buick (caused $5k of damage).
BTW.. are you in Ohio? If so, where? I heard of Tornado sirens going off in Newark

I come here for the MERCEDES information. Not anyones political ideas, debates, etc.

I usually click on the "view new posts" But I wish it had an option to eliminate certain areas, IE open forum. "Open forum" is #3 in posts.
I agree that open discusion is a necessary area, but I thought the forum was about Mercedes.
Please don't let me discurage anyone or make them feel that I want to opress them. I have just seen that to much fighting and political bickering usually undermines the reason for the forum and eventually destroys it. Debate and bickering about Mercedes. that is part of this Forum. Politics, sex and religion are usually the taboo subjects.

Dave

PS However I will be hipocritical and say that I do enjoy the PRETTY GIRLS THREAD. Besides that's not sex, its admiration of bodies, just like we do with Mercedes

Let's all post a thread that has some entertainment value. Some sort of confrontational engagement with an interesting topic from the past. See what you guys can scrape up.

1987 AMG Hammer

300SD

That's my buddy, Chris. Very controversial chap indeed.

I've learned a lot more since I joined this forum and acquired about three more MB's.

Looks like they found each other's redlines.

What happened to Chris? He hasn't posted in a while on this or the other forum he's on. BTW... an AMG w126 is way better than a AMG w124

This discussion forum is not nearly as bad as the diesel forum and the tech forum where "newbies" post the same questions that has been asked and answered a million times.

I actually find the oil threads really interesting. I mean "peak oil" not motor oil. The varying points of view regarding our future oil sources, or lack thereof, are thought provoking to say the least.

The whole partisan politics thing gets kind of lasme as the same comments just get re-worded, so let's come up with some new stuff to type about.

Thanks
