But I find M. Kerry's moderation greatly reassuring. If these two guys continue to temporize on their more radical supporters wacky ideas, their differences with disappear except for silly things like speaking style, food preferences, and shoe size.
...maybe these two will strive to exceed the number of times Bush and Gore agreed with each other during the second presidential "debates" in 2000. The magic number to beat is 32.

GO DUOPOLY!!!!!

See, therein lies our problem. An agreement, by definition, is something mutually agreed upon. My understanding was this: I was not to post anything in response to your posts, and you were not to respond to any of my posts. My post was in response to Jim Smith. Your post was in response to me. That's my interpretation.

My wife, by the way, takes your side. She thinks I did a sneak attack, sort of. Didn't mean to do that, but because I value her judgment, I'll concede that one might see it that way.

So how do you want to proceed now? Continue with our mutual ban on comments about each other's posts? Or start fresh, show a little respect for each other, and comment as we see fit, without fears that either of us might be deemed a "stalker"?

What's your preference?

Joe B.

Yes, Kirk, but would increased use of The Finger promote intellectual growth, mutual respect, dynamic discussions, and the American Way?

I think we should each hire outside consultants to develop a shape for a table around which disinterested third-parties could gather and discuss in a non-confrontational matter are resolution to this seemingly intractible problem. The discussions should be in Tahiti. On a beach.

With a copious supply of those drinks with little umbrellas? We might end up liking each other! Would that be going too far?

I bow to your grasp of the Big Picture, Sir. Of course, you are without question correct.
