Very Mad!!
driving home tonite around 11pm passing by a park and I hear POW.....looking to the right and there was egg all over the car!
I spun the car around couldnt see anyone as it was very dark and called the cops right away. Washed the car at midnight when I got home and the damn egg is hard to get off. Gonna wash it wax it tommorow but im so mad!! |
Don't feel bad. If it was Houston it would have been a bullet hole.
|
Or Worcester, Mass, a rock from an overpass. I was hit by such a projectile, right on the sunroof, in February. Cost me $500 for the deductible. At least eggs will wash off.
I drive through there often and was just hit last week in the right side rear door by a chunk of metal tossed up by a truck next to me on 290 just before it becomes 395. Probably another couple hundred dollars. Jim |
im mad because now I realize how stupid this world is and that you cant even drive down the street anymore with something not happening.
|
I grew up in New England. I don't know why projectiles from overpasses are so popular there. It happens all the time and people get killed. I know whenever I drive in Boston and see someone on an overpass I kind of keep an eye out. They are especially looking for convertibales.

I remember how furious I was when someone from East Texas spit tobacco juice on the silver metallic paint job of my Porsche, ruining it. I asked a local bumpkin why anyone would do such a thing and he said "Because it was pretty". The world is full of *********s.

one night when i was a kid i shot out the rear window of
a passing car with a pellet gun. i was a bad boy.:( i was aiming for a tire. it was a bad shot:p don |
I feel like driving back to that spot and looking for the bastards!

When I was a kid, maybe 12 or 13, I was walking with another kid who was throwing marshmellows at cars. One stopped and two guys twice our age who thought he was throwing rocks, got out and beat the **** of him. For some reason they spared me, probably because I managed to point out to them my unfortunate friend was clutching a bag of marshmellows while they pummeled him.
I learned a valuable lesson that day. |

I should have went into the park but was afraid of another hit

Howdy All,
Here in El Mirage if something goes pow at that time of night it will usually be an owl hitting a window. |
I think it's always been the same. It all starts out "when we were kids". When we were kids we'd drive around and take turns knocking mailboxes off from a moving car. Kept going faster and faster until somebody quit. Lota broken hands until we got over that stupid tuff guy stunt. Now kids got guns and kill each other - nice - It's all the fault of taxing income.

Best of luck with the eggers. Hopefully it was just some punk who decided that it's really not that fun. |
I've been snowballed, though not in the mbs. I usually stop and make chase. I'm pretty good with a snowball, and have actually made contact with a few miscreants over the years. Always feels good to peg a kid in the back as he flees in fear. I don't really care, but I think I secretly admired the guy who chased me and my buddies up a large wooded hill beseide the stop sign we used to haunt with snow missiles. ha ha.. But, snowballs and eggs/rocks/debris are different in kind.
One time, I actually had to intercept a livid motorist who had apparently been a prior (snowball only) victim. He was in an absolute rage and tears were streaming down his face and he was hyperventilating while chasing the very scared kids. I got him back to his... pontiac, shouted an admonishment to the kids, and we were both on our way. That was along my daily route to work, and I never saw snow fly there again... overpass stuff, moving vehicles- all of that is criminal and really dangerous. People get killed all around the country from that crap. In pittsburgh, several of the bridges have big nets underneath them to keep the chunks of bridge that fall off from hitting passing cars. why not fix the bridge? Pittsburgh is almost bankrupt, and the city has the 2nd most bridges in the world, second only to Venice. I wonder if the net will catch falling cars when the bridge really falls apart? |
