Anyone know the spec of a late model VW GTi?
 

I think it was a GTi since I only saw the front (me and the driver was side by side), and the rest from my rear view mirror.

My peaceful Sunday drive coming home after a nice 70's not-a- cloud-in-the-sky with zero humidity from North Beach on Rt 2 was interrupted by this Black VW.

We were at a stop light where the right lane ends in less than 100 feet, but this guy pulled up next to me and revved his engine the whole time we were sitting at the light (he has the coffee can too). Guess he wanted to let me know he wanted to smoke me coming out of the gate. Guess he never thought he would lose out on a topless luxo rocket.

I stood on the pedal as the light turned green and held it there in the 2nd till he was just a speck in my rear view mirror. Boy it was a sight to watch the ASR blinking amber the whole way up to fourth.

So what is the spec of the GTi? I know he has a manual because as I left him, he was up shifting to second.

Yup, they aren't really that fast. The R32 on the other hand would be.

The SL500's motor is a 300+hp V8 with 300+ lb/ft of torque ;)

must be gorgeous to go pedal to the metal top down in a V8 SL.

Now that explained why he was just a speck in my rear view mirror :D :D :D
