note : I havent seen an ad that was truthfull yet!!!!

Called this "idiot" today about the car.
He started right away by asking me what condition car I was looking for?
I said the best car that i can for the money I have (now remember that is ad says "best offer").
So he says : how much money is that? I say $7000. He says "I can't talk to you for that king of money!" We hang-up.

5 seconds later the phone rings, it's the guy I just talked to.
He start preaching about him being a series 6 nut, That if I buy a car for restauration I would be dissapointed and that I should buy the best car that I could (sound familiar), that he as had and imported M6s and other 6s from Germany and that the one he has is as clean as any car coming from the factory and that he knew every 6s from Toronto to Montreal bla bla bla ...then he went on to say that he was "educating" me.
Then I sayed : first you don't know me and I don't need educating from you.
He said "yes you do cus you would not offer that kind of money for a car with that low millage".
I said "you never know and if you do not want low offers, right a price in your ad"
BTW, I did not offer him $7000 I said I had $7000 availible.....

I guess it is true what they say about BMW owners (present company excluded)

I invite anyone of you to call this idiot and offer him the lowest price you can.

a friend of my friend's rode in my car and saw a BMW 3-series cut someone off soo badly and he was like
"what's the difference between hedgehogs and BMWs?"

i was like

ans : the hedgehog's pricks are on the outside :p

sorry I suck at telling jokes..

anyway,
I've encountered the same from MB owners too... the time I was offered very little cash for my car, which I have a lot of pride in, I just took it and nicely said "sorry, I'd rather keep it for the money, thanks for the offer though" - and the guy went on his merry ways..

On the flip side, I've seen waaay too many Mercedes owners ask waaay more than their cars are worth. Many people think that they hold more value than they actually do and they can't stand taking such a huge hit after investing so much money in a car. I see it all the time! The market in south Florida is especially bad due to the heavy saturation of high line cars.......or especially good if you are buying used.
